The disconnect between Spirit and Soul occurs when the Soul reacts to Spirit in a forceful and unloving way, e.g. by depriving it of love, Truth or abundance, or exacting revenge. At that moment the level of consciousness in the Soul will have dropped below a life-supportive level, and Spirit will need to disconnect to preserve life.
Spirit disconnect is not an abstract, ethereal event, but a very real experience for the Soul. Its effect is the immediate vanishing of the ability to experience meaning and fulfillment, no matter what action the Soul undertakes or what circumstances it manifests. The Soul’s path of potential meets an abrupt dead end as inspiration for new beginnings and the energy to engage them disappear, and abundance and potency decrease. Listlessness moves in, an existence diagnosed as depression and marked by a lack of desire to engage life.
Should the Soul’s evil act also have wounded Spirit, i.e. imprinted a perception of unworthiness, the disconnect will cause a sharp increase in fear. The wound will rise into the Soul’s awareness in the form of uncontrollable feelings of low self-esteem, impotence and aggression, flooding the mind for the purpose of breaking it. Asking to be loved and healed by the Soul, Spirit will then imprint itself upon such mind in manic periods of heightened awareness, energy, creativity, vision and powers of perception, and if the mind’s innate capacity is high, also by pushing knowledge of sacred Truths, experiences of divine coincidences, or interactions with animals and nature. Lifted thus into experiences of divinity yet unable or unwilling to embark upon a path of healing, such weakened mind will inevitably fall from the height of its temporary god-ness back to the hell of despair, drowning in factual powerlessness. Its life force will now be spent on managing its feelings by means of medications, causing the Soul to lose vitality and its worldly expression, and effectively moving it into a state of stagnation, decay and death.
As psychotic disorders affect only a small portion of humanity, above conditions seem to be a deviation from normality. Yet what the Soul perceives as a ‘normal’ life experience is achieved and maintained solely by means of Spirit sacrifice, when Spirit reconnects with the unloving Soul and resumes supplying it with power despite repeated wounding and no healing. Such arrangement is akin to living on credit, for every new wounding of Spirit will drive it lower in consciousness and nobility, giving free passage to feelings of evil, violence and destruction, rather than mere depression, to flood the weak mind whenever Spirit should omit to compensate by reconnecting.
Yet such omission has been rare by default, for humanity’s sacrifice of Jesus has forced Spirit to keep connecting to all Souls, lest the alternative path of healing Spirit is offered to the Soul as gift of its salvation. Such Soul’s worthiness always manifests itself in the form of psychosis, and is a karmic benefit, usually stemming from previous lifetimes rather than the current one. However, as such mental condition is perceived by affected Souls as misfortune and illness instead of Spirit’s offer for salvation, the opportunity is invariably ignored and thus extinguished. Modern medicine offers pills and poisons for alleviating symptoms, plus there are drugs, alcohol, excessive work or sex, and various behaviour deviations as alternative means to control the Soul’s deadened or torturous life experience. But all is in vain: the effect is only to jade one’s sensitivity to Spirit, making the Soul avoid taking responsibility and keep wasting its incredible opportunity.
Another way the opportunity is wasted is by means of endlessly acquiring knowledge, be it about one’s medical condition or about spiritual philosophies in general. The Soul’s underlying intent here is to receive love from Spirit, either as relief from suffering or as worthiness in purpose, rather than to love and heal Spirit. For while the discovery of Spirit seduces and soothes the mind, it abandons Spirit to stagnation and deprivation amidst continuous wounding. Thus all learning beyond receiving Truth about one’s inner evil is redundant. Such Truth needs to be sought by the Soul, and once received, immediately acted upon. Failing to act, the Soul’s continuous seeking of knowledge or mystical experiences will constitute a rejection of responsibility for evil at the cost of life.
The Disconnect mosaic carries the colors red and gold, symbolising body (1st) and power (3rd) chakras. In Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man, the 1st chakra is at the center of the square of matter and death, and is not connected to the circle of Spirit, whose center lies in the 2nd chakra of fertility and life. When the Soul’s will mandates stagnation rather than life, the Soul has descended onto the square of matter, or the perpetrating and experiencing of evil and destruction. When, instead, the mind empowers life by seeking Truth and taking responsibility for Spirit, it connects Soul to Spirit outside of sacrifice and steps onto the circle of potential.
It should be noted that Spirit connection, in whichever form, will not always be given: it is available only until Spirit’s forced connection mandate is over. At that point sacrifice will cease to be an option, while a connection to potential will have to be earned, rather than just embarked upon.
